Pat Cheal

"Sometimes my biggest problem isn't finding time to paint, it's choosing what to paint!"
After a long career as an illustrator, working digitally, Pat Cheal found sitting at a computer no longer brought the same satisfaction as dipping her brush in oil paint.
Whether painting outside en plein air or working quietly in her studio she found an inspiring energy from the landscape that makes each new work feel like a discovery. Her goal is to capture what she feels with every turn of her head - translating light, shadow, movement and rhythm through color and crisp brushwork.
